Christopher is a native Iowan; born in Davenport and raised in West Des Moines. After graduating from Valley High School in 2002, he attended the University of Northern Iowa and received his bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies in 2007.
In 2011, Christopher entered Creighton School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. His main focus was on criminal law, receiving high marks in both legal writing and litigation practice. Christopher excelled intrial practice courses and mediation courses. During Law School, Christopher was president of the Phi Delta Phi Academic Honor Society. In May of 2014, he received his Juris Doctorate.
While attending Creighton Law, Christopher worked with the Douglas County Department of Corrections in their Pretrial Release Department. There, he helped facilitate programs that would aide defendants as they awaited trial. He also helped run the Douglas County Jail’s Law Library and assisted with research, document formation, and case work.
Christopher was most recently an Assistant County Attorney working in Pocahontas County, Iowa. While there, he prosecuted criminal cases focusing on OWI and misdemeanors. He also dealt with Mental Health Commitments, Substance Abuse Commitments, and Juvenile matters.
Christopher is excited to return to central Iowa and join Causey & Ye as an Associate Attorney. He is a licensed contractor with the State Public Defender. He practices in Iowa state courts and Juvenile Court.
